About QuickFlicks
QuickFlicks is your personal movie organiser – a quick and simple way to save films, track what you’ve watched, and decide what to watch next.
QuickFlicks brings all your watchlists together in one place. Streaming platforms often keep their own separate lists, which makes it easy to lose track of what you wanted to watch. QuickFlicks keeps everything organised into simple shelves so you always know what's next.
Movies are supported right now, with space for series to be added in the future.
QuickFlicks lets you keep your own movie shelves:
- To Put Away – recently added films waiting to be sorted.
- To Watch – films you plan to watch soon.
- Watched – films you've already seen.
Every film you have watched can also be rated with a 👍, 👎, or left unrated. Your shelves update automatically based on the choices you make.
- Once you are logged in, use the search bar at the top of the homepage.
- Search for a film using a title or keyword.
- Select a movie from the results.
- Click Add to Shelf.
- The film will appear on your To Put Away shelf.
You can move movies between shelves using the buttons provided:
- Move to "To Watch" – adds the movie to your watchlist.
- Move to "Watched" – marks the movie as watched.
- Remove from Shelf – removes the movie entirely.
After watching a film, you can rate it:
- 👍 Like
- 👎 Dislike
Each user has their own secure movie shelves, stored privately under their account. From your profile page, you can update your username, email address, or password whenever you need to keep your details up to date.
The site includes ARIA labels, keyboard-friendly buttons, readable contrast, and clear visual feedback to support accessibility for all users.
